24 is a current Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning American television series (will it win again in 24
season 6 ?),created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, and is produced by Imagine Television. It is broadcast in the USA by the Fox
Network and syndicated worldwide ( the season 6 will be braodcast all over the world too).
The show first aired on November 6, 2001, with an initial thirteen episodes ( 24 season 6 will probably
have more episodes ). After leading actor Kiefer Sutherland won a Golden Globe for his role in the first 10 episodes, the ratings
were boosted, which prompted FOXto order the second half of the series . Each season ( the 24 season 6 six too ) covers the events of a 24 hour period in the life of federal agent
Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) as he tries to prevent one or more domestic terrorist attacks, set largely in Los Angeles
( rumors say that 24 season 6 will be filmed also on the east coast ). The show also follows Jack's colleagues at
the Counter Terrorist Unit Los Angeles office, as well as the actions of the terrorists, a civilian family and typically an important political
figure such as a senator or president.
The sixth season 6 will begin in January of 2007.
The first five seasons follow a similar format (but the 6th season of 24 will too): a main story arc featuring
Jack Bauer and the Counter Terrorist Unit dealing with a threat posed to national security. Surprise sacrifices, backstabbings, and other
plot twists are common.Each season of 24 twenty four also has several major subplots that span most of the
episodes and are interwoven within the main plot.
Throughout each season, Jack Bauer often faces intense personal anguish in addition to his tasks to stop the
terrorists.
